University Magazine Projects

For a second-year university module I created a rescue dog magazine, which was based on The Dog's Trust "Wag" publication. This was NOT an official Wag magazine and was just for the project.

Creating the magazine gave me a valuable insight into the elements of design required, such as where photos should be placed, how text should be set out, and so forth. I enjoyed creating the publication and therefore decided to also take the module for my final year.

For my final year of university, I created a magazine brand that aims to help aspiring female creatives break into the creative industries.

Compared to the second year, we focussed on the brand in more depth. This involved conducting audience research and helped to enhance my social media skills because I created accounts for the brand across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. We were required to complete research on hashtags and other techniques used by similar brands to appeal to their audience.

In addition, I also created a website that I regularly update with blog posts that are suitable for my audience of aspiring creatives who are between the ages of 15 and 21.

The website can be viewed here
